Just Mercy Panelist Spotlight #2 - Michael Cunegin


Michael Cunegin served for 26 years as a police officer for the Fort Wayne IN Police Department, retiring as a Commander. 

 

While serving as an officer, Mr. Cunegin also served 14 years on the Allen County Council.

 

Upon retiring from the police department, Mr. Cunegin worked six years for the Indiana Department of Corrections which gave Mr. Cunegin additional overall perspective of the criminal justice. 

 

Mr. Cunegin was appointed by Indiana Senator Tom Weiss to serve for 10 years as an Indiana Commissioner for the Social Status of African Americans.

 

Mr. Cunegin currently serves as an ordained minister for the Church of God and Christ in Indianapolis.
